One autumn warm day as a family we were at the skatepark, Abbey and Noah love scootering, especially Noah practicing the bunny hop. It’s a trick where the wheels of the scooter leave the ground at the same time while you are hopping.
Noah is crazy about fast movement and the thrill of entering the big U bowl with drops of 5ft and 6ft with many sexy curves and lines.
An older boy approaches Noah and he say’s out loud “I’m a beginning scooter rider and you seem to know what you are doing”; can you teach me a few tricks? Yes sure replies Noah, I can see from a distance a grin appears on his face, he’s looking proud of himself.
It appeals he is showing off and then, he’s performing a tail whip involving jumping into the air with his scooter, kicking the deck around the handlebars in a full rotation, then landing when the deck gets back to its original position.
Noah’s new friend is imitating and copying his body movements, I’m doing 180 in the air Noah says out loud. His scooter is rotating and at the same time his body is rotating 180 degrees.
Blake tries to do exactly what Noah is doing, then the boy falls over. Noah rides over to see if he’s, okay? A cheeky grin appeals on Blake’s face, I’m okay!
How long have you been coming here Noah? Today is my first time! I have been here like 100 times, it’s one of my favourite things to do says Noah. You are such a cool friend, giggles Blake.
